Overview
I draft contracts for UK small businesses that are written to be used, not filed: clear on what each side has to do, when, and what happens if it does not. That covers everything from a contract for services to a shareholders’ agreement, and I review contracts you have been sent so that you know what you are signing.
Contract work is one part of a broader legal service for businesses; where a contract sits inside a bigger transaction, I can handle both.
How it works
- 01
A free initial consultation
Call, WhatsApp or book a video call. We talk through what the work needs, what it does not, and whether I am the right fit for it.
- 02
A fixed fee, agreed up front
You get a written quote before any work starts. The scope and the price are agreed in advance, so there are no surprise invoices.
- 03
Done for you, start to finish
I draft the documents, negotiate with the other side where needed, and deal with Companies House, and keep you informed throughout.
- 04
Completion, and what comes after
Signing and completion, with a clear list of anything you need to do once the work is done.

My approach
How I work
I start with the commercial deal rather than a template: what you are providing or receiving, how you get paid, what could go wrong and who should carry that risk. The contract is then drafted around those answers, in plain English, at a fixed fee agreed before I start.

FAQs
Common questions about contract drafting
What to expect when you ask me to draft or review a contract.
- How do you make sure the contract fits my business?
By asking about the deal before drafting anything: what you are selling or buying, how and when you are paid, what you are worried about, and how the relationship ends. The document is drafted around those answers rather than adapted from a generic template.
- What is the turnaround for a contract?
Most standard contracts and reviews are turned around within a few working days; longer or heavily negotiated agreements take more time and I will tell you the timescale with the quote. I aim to answer or return calls within 24 hours, and emails sooner.
- Are your fees fixed or hourly?
Fixed for most contract work, quoted in writing before I start. If a matter is better suited to another basis, for example an open-ended negotiation, I will say so up front and agree it with you.
