Overview
I draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts for UK small businesses: terms of business, supplier and customer agreements, franchise agreements, shareholders’ agreements, SaaS and software terms, and the agreements that sit around a business sale. If you have been sent a contract, I can do a red-flag review that tells you what matters and what to push back on.
The aim is a document that protects your position and that the other side will actually sign, rather than one so one-sided that it stalls the deal.
How it works
- 01
A free initial consultation
Call, WhatsApp or book a video call. We talk through what the work needs, what it does not, and whether I am the right fit for it.
- 02
A fixed fee, agreed up front
You get a written quote before any work starts. The scope and the price are agreed in advance, so there are no surprise invoices.
- 03
Done for you, start to finish
I draft the documents, negotiate with the other side where needed, and deal with Companies House, and keep you informed throughout.
- 04
Completion, and what comes after
Signing and completion, with a clear list of anything you need to do once the work is done.

My approach
How I work
You tell me what the deal is and what you are worried about; I tell you what the contract needs to say and quote a fixed fee for it. Drafts are in plain English, with the commercial points explained rather than buried. Most reviews and standard contracts are turned around in days.

FAQs
Common questions about commercial legal work
What to expect when you instruct me on a contract.
- What contract work do you handle?
Drafting bespoke contracts, reviewing contracts you have been sent, amending templates you already use, and negotiating terms with the other side. Common examples are terms and conditions, service agreements, shareholders’ agreements, franchise agreements, SaaS agreements, NDAs and privacy policies.
- How are your fees structured?
Most contract work is quoted as a fixed fee before I start, based on what the document needs to do and how much negotiation is likely. Where a fixed fee is not appropriate, I will say so and agree a basis with you first.
- How quickly can I expect a response?
I aim to answer or return calls within 24 hours, and emails sooner. Most reviews and standard contracts are turned around within a few working days; I will give you a timescale with the quote.
